C.J. Box appeared in Scottsdale before a packed house on Monday, March 2, to sign his 20th Joe Pickett novel, Long Range. The book finds Joe investigating the murder of a prominent local judge’s wife, killed by a rifle shot from an impossibly long distance. Joe’s best friend, Nate Romanowski, now a husband and father of a new baby, is a suspect. To complicate matters, Joe also must find out what happened in a bizarre grizzly attack in the area.
