Joseph Finder signed his new Nick Heller thriller, House on Fire, yesterday at The Poisoned Pen Bookstore in Scottsdale. The book is about the opioid crisis in the United States and one very rich family’s involvement in it. Joe says the book “is not preachy.”
Barbara Peters, owner of The Poisoned Pen, sponsored a workshop titled How to Put the Thrill in Your Thriller. Joe was gracious enough to lead the discussion. Twelve authors of various skill levels attended. I knew I was in trouble when Joe said something about teaching it as he had done at Harvard. Gulp!
