The Last Kind Words Saloon is a quick read, just under two hundred pages, with most chapters requiring only one or two turns of the page to finish. It tells the story of a brief period of the lives of Doc Holliday and Wyatt Earp in the fading “Wild West” and ends with the gunfight at the OK Corral. The writing is somber, direct, and very descriptive, and shows the harshness of the American West for the men and women who lived there.
