Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child (via Skype) discussed their new book, Old Bones, on Tuesday, August 20, at The Poisoned Pen in Scottsdale. The book, the first in a new series, tells the fictional story of the “Lost Camp” of the Donner Party, and the long-sought diary of one of the victims. The story touches on archaeology, history, murder, and suspense, with rookie FBI agent Corrie Swanson assigned to investigate the camp’s long-buried secrets and determine the truth of what happened.
