Joseph Kanon signed his new thriller, The Accomplice, last night (November 13) at The Poisoned Pen in Scottsdale. The book tells the story of American CIA desk analyst, Aaron Wiley, attempting to satisfy his dying uncle’s request to track down Dr. Otto Schramm, an Auschwitz doctor who worked with Dr. Josef Mengele and who sent his uncle’s family to the gas chambers. Wiley must capture and transport Schramm to Germany to stand trial while facing the limits of his own morality and how far he will go to render justice.
