I fell behind on my postings last week due to a hot water tank that leaked all over the garage and into the laundry room. We were fortunate the water didn’t do more damage and it only took four days (a long, long time without hot water) to have a replacement tank installed. Working around the water, the repairs, and the tank installation, we did manage to see three excellent authors at The Poisoned Pen Bookstore in Scottsdale.
On Tuesday, January 14, Andrew Grant and Nick Petrie appeared to talk about and sign their new books. Andrew’s second novel in his Paul McGrath series, Too Close to Home, finds the courthouse janitor’s provides justice to those who have been wronged by the system.
Nick’s fifth Peter Ash book, The Wild One, finds Peter traveling to Iceland to find a woman’s eight-year-old grandson. Peter fights his PTSD and a terrible snowstorm to track the boy’s father, the only suspect in his wife’s murder.
On Thursday, January 16, Chris Hauty signed his debut thriller, Deep State. The book tells the story of Hayley Chill, an intern who finds herself involved in murder, political turf wars, and the undermining of our democracy by powerful government figures. Sound familiar?
