The three books I’m recommending today have been out for a while, so I urge you to check them out if you haven’t already done so. Win, by Harlan Coben, is a brilliant mystery/thriller by a master storyteller. When a Stranger Comes to Town, edited by Michael Koryta, is a collection of short stories issued by the Mystery Writers of America. If you have only thirty minutes a day to read, try one of these to fill your time. Finally, How to Write a Mystery: A Handbook from Mystery Writers of America, edited by Lee Child and Laurie R. King, focuses on the craft of writing mysteries. This is a must-read book, no matter where you are in your publishing career.
